This page explains how to open MIStudio after it has been installed and configured.

MIStudio is normally opened from a desktop icon, shortcut, or application launcher.

When MIStudio starts, the user may be prompted to select a workspace location and project name. For a first project or first-time setup, select the Demo project. After Demo opens, a new project can be created from inside MIStudio.

• Find the MIStudio icon or shortcut on the desktop, Start menu, or application launcher.
• Double-click the MIStudio icon.
• Wait for the MIStudio Setup Wizard or startup screen to appear.
• Confirm the workspace location.
• Select Demo from the Project Name list for the first project.
• Click OK.
• Wait for MIStudio to finish loading.

After MIStudio opens, the selected project appears in the main MIStudio window.

For a first-time user, opening the Demo project provides a starting point. From there, the user can explore the MIStudio interface and create a new project.

The main MIStudio window includes the project tree, menus, properties panel, and other tools used to build or edit applications.

After Demo opens, a new project can be created from inside MIStudio.

This keeps the first startup process simple:

• Open MIStudio.
• Select Demo.
• Let MIStudio load.
• Create a new project from the MIStudio menu when ready.

If MIStudio does not open from the icon or shortcut:

• Try opening MIStudio again.
• Confirm that the computer is connected to any required network or system resources.
• Confirm that the MIStudio shortcut has not been moved or deleted.
• Contact the system administrator or support team if the problem continues.
