MIStudio is ErgoTech's visual development environment for building industrial dashboards, operator interfaces, and data-driven applications.

MIStudio projects can include graphics, logic, data sources, servers, scripts, and deployment configuration. These pieces work together to create applications that can display live data, respond to changing values, and provide user interfaces for industrial systems.

• Dashboards for viewing equipment, process, or production status
• Operator interfaces for tools, machines, and industrial systems
• Data-driven displays that update from live or simulated values
• Test projects for validating graphics, servers, data sources, and runtime behavior
• Applications that can be deployed to MIX

An MIStudio project usually contains one or more applications. Each application can contain graphics and logic.

The MIStudio Design Editor is used to build the visual portion of an application using graphics and controls.

The MIStudio Logic Editor is used to work with data sources, connections, and application logic.

Graphics can display values and provide user interaction, while logic and data sources can update those graphics or respond to user actions.

For example, a simple project might contain:

• A meter graphic
• A SineServer test data source
• A connection from the SineServer to the meter
• A saved application that can be reopened and tested again

A good beginner workflow is:

• Understand what MIStudio is.
• Open MIStudio.
• Understand the project structure.
• Create or open a project.
• Create an application.
• Build the visual interface in the Design Editor.
• Edit graphic properties.
• Use the Logic Editor to add data sources and logic.
• Connect a data source to a graphic.
• Save, close, and reopen the project.
