==== Overview ====

The IntegerTextField graphic is a Basic Layout text field graphic used to display or enter whole-number values.

IntegerTextField is a formatted text field for integer values. Only integer values between the configured **Minimum Value** and **Maximum Value** may be entered.

IntegerTextField shares common properties with other Basic Layout text field graphics. See [[mistudio:design_editor:basic_layout:text_fields:text_field_common_properties|Text Field Common Properties]] for shared font, color, editable, enabled, background, visibility, and data source behavior.

==== Common Uses ====

  * Displaying whole-number values
  * Entering integer values
  * Setting numeric values without decimal places
  * Showing values from a numeric data source
  * Sending whole-number values into application logic

==== Input Behavior ====

The IntegerTextField display can be updated from an input connection.

This can be useful when the IntegerTextField needs to show a numeric value from a data source, calculation, or another logic component.

==== Output Behavior ====

IntegerTextField sends the entered number as a **Long Value Object**.

This allows the entered or displayed integer value to be used by other logic components.

==== IntegerTextField-Specific Behavior ====

IntegerTextField is designed for whole-number numeric values.

IntegerTextField-specific settings may include:

  * **Minimum Value** Sets the lowest value allowed.
  * **Maximum Value** Sets the highest value allowed.
  * **Horizontal Alignment** Controls how the value is aligned inside the field.
  * **Cursor Color** Sets the cursor color.
  * **Selected Text Color** Sets the selected text color.
  * **Selection Color** Sets the background color used for selected text.

==== Logic Ports ====

In the Logic Editor, IntegerTextField may include ports such as:

  * **PrimaryOutPort**
  * **updateDisplayedValue**
